Welcome to Off The Beaten Path Yarnhouse
We can be found on an acre of land under an oak grove. Yarn & all its buddies fill the bottom of the original Femrite Farmhouse. A piece of heaven in the city, serenity is served up daily. Devoted to furthering the art of knit & crochet, we teach knitting for free. Once a knitter - a world of yarn, books & tools opens up. "Class on Demand" began here; now, with over 35 selections. Felting is done on-site. Natural fibers, organics & sustainable yarns in alpaca, bamboo, cashmere, corn, cotton, hemp, linen, milk, mohair, rayon, silk, wool & blends thereof abound. Hand-dyed is manna & well represented. Think globally, act locally! Support & buy yarns & related items made by local folks, small businesses, artists, cooperatives, environmentally responsible mills & eco friendly process. Service, Community, Stewardship & Serenity. Knitters can change the world! |
